Caring About People and Creating Smiles: 10th Annual Day of Smiles

 

At Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, we are rooted in values. We are proud to extend people-first hospitality to our neighbors during our 10th annual Day of Smiles, where we connect with community partners for a day of volunteering. More than 100 team members from around the Pittsburgh region came together, volunteering over 325 hours across eight local nonprofit organizations. The projects we worked on benefit a variety of causes, all sharing our Core Values and commitment to helping our neighbors in need.  
From packaging and sorting food and essentials for low-income families and providing tech support to older adults, to sorting professional attire that will be donated to women and nonbinary people across the region to help them enter or re-enter the workforce with confidence, we were honored to work alongside nonprofit organizations who are making a true difference for our neighbors.

“As someone who came from a lower-middle-class home, my family needed to utilize the services of the food bank on occasion.  Meeting these folks and being able to give back was truly a rewarding experience for me. The individuals blessed my day with their positivity and kindness. It is a reminder that we all need help from time to time. If those in temporary need can remain upbeat and positive, so can we all.” 

“Day of Smiles is a day that fills your cup and leaves you feeling more connected, grounded, and grateful. It gave me the chance to live out our core value of caring for people, not just with words, but through action. It was humbling and deeply meaningful to lend a hand to those in need.
