Delicious Design - The Porch at Schenley (2012)

Pittsburgh Magazine honored The Porch at Schenley with their 2012 "Delicious Design" award. Embodying the ideals of green construction, The Porch was selected thanks to eco-friendly design elements like a living roof and recycled construction materials, all of which contributed to our LEED Silver status.

Best Catering Services - Parkhurst Event Catering (2012)

From thousands of votes in this annual poll, Parkhurst Event Catering was selected as having the "Best Catering Services" by the readers of Pittsburgh Magazine.

Restaurant Neighbor Award (2011)

Presented by The National Restaurant Association, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group was awarded the 2011 Restaurant Neighbor Award. The award celebrates outstanding service efforts that restaurateurs perform in their respective communities. We were selected because our team members have poured their hearts into Caring for Kids, our campaign to raise money for local children’s hospitals. The campaign has raised over $7 million for sick children and their families.

Best People Practices Award (2012, 2011, AND 2010)

We were chosen by People Report, and industry benchmarking organization, for consistently high standards around people practices in the foodservice industry in the areas of employee retention, diversity, community involvement and sustainable business practices.

National Business Ethics Award (2010)

Eat’n Park Hospitality Group was selected as the leading ethical organization in the country in the large company category by the Foundation for Financial Service Professionals. The National Business Ethics Award recognizes companies that exemplify high standards of ethical behavior in their everyday business conduct and in response to specific crises or challenges. Organizations are rated in four broad areas: executive commitment to ethics, ongoing ethics programming, demonstrated ethical business practices, and commitment to stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the community.

People Do Matter Award (2010 and 2009)

The Pittsburgh Human Resource Association recognized Eat’n Park Hospitality Group in the category of learning and development for our Certified Supervisor Program (2010) and for our management on-boarding process (2009).

Harvest Award For Innovation and Leadership in the Sustainable Food Movement (2009)

Glynwood, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to save farming in the Northeast, awarded Eat’n Park Hospitality Group with the 7th Annual Harvest Award. The award highlights innovative work being done to increase access to fresh, locally-produced food and recognizes leaders across the country who support regional agricultural systems.

Training Magazine Top 125 (2008)

Training Magazine recognized us for excellence in training and development. Five areas are evaluated for this award:

  • Scope of Training Program (including hours of training, number of trainers, training budget, best practices, and outstanding initiative)
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Training Infrastructure and Delivery
  • Evaluation/Metrics
  • Human Resources (including competency maps, compensation tied to training, employee satisfaction surveys, length of service and turnover, job openings filled by internal candidates, and percentage of new hires referred by employees)
